  1. I have just recently traded my POD X3 bean in for a POD HD Desktop, so I no longer have acess to my POD X3. On my computer I still have Gearbox with all my old X3 patches on. I would like to view some of these older patches from the X3 so I can program them into my shiny new POD HD. When I open Gearbox, it will not allow me to view the files without first conecting my X3, this is not possible any more. Pleeeeease! someone tell me a way I can view the settings of these patches so I can transfer them to my new POD.
  2. Hi- Enjoying a shiny new DT25 after several years of a Pod X3 and Headphones. DT is amazing so far (like bringing home 4 new amps at once), but missing all the effects options I've gotten used to. So, I'm wondering what the best way to hook in the Pod X3 would be- tried searching the forum, but it seems like everyone has just upgraded to Pod HD. Is there any hope for this old X3, or do I just need to bite the bullet and get an HD500X? Any recommendations welcome. Regards, Herr Schlubbenheimer
  3. It's clear that AMPLIFi is based on the old architecture from XT/X3/PodFarm. My question is, will we be able to load our custom tones built using those tools? And along with that does AMPLIFi come with all the model packs from PODFarm Platinum and support dual tone modes?
  4. My biggest complaint about Line6 is that new PODs don't include all the older model amps and effects. I can't move all my meticulously-designed patches onto the latest and greatest product. So right now I have to deal with two pieces of rack gear (X3 Pro and HD Pro), and that complicates everything - footswitching, multiple outputs, midi, external loops, bypass, etc. I realize that older amps and effects models aren't "HD." I just don't understand why they can't be converted as-is to be available as legacy patches on the new PODs. I would gladly pay for that. Please let me know if I've missed something about all this. I would love to learn that there's a project in motion to convert all the old stuff. Thanks for any info!
  5. Hey, Just bought a POD X3 Live from a friend, he said his POD worked with the Monkey program. I have tried just about everything, but windows 7 doesn't recognize the pod, and Line6 monkey/gearbox say its not plugged in. Do I have to put the device in usb mode or something, what am I doing wrong. I really don't want to have to get my money back from this guy, this device is pretty cool... Thanks, godbless. Device: POD X3 LIVE OS: WIN7 64 BIT CPU: I5 3570 (3.8GHZ) GPU: HD 7750 RAM: 8GB 1600MHZ HD: 500GB, 250GB, 160GB
  6. Just as the title says, I'm running into this problem. When I connect my x3 Live via usb, my pc prompts that it doesn't recognize the x3. I've downloaded the latest Line6 Monkey.
  7. HI EVERYBODY!! I've just watched on youtube a very nice patch to make "dubtep music". this is the link: Can anyone help me to get a sound like this?? If you have this patch link it!! thank you :D
  8. Hi, I just noticed another issue with my x3live unit. When I move it, even just a little the screen goes blank yet the power is on . Well it would be more like stays orange color you know. It starts ok when i power it on, it fails only when i move it. I've read many posts with a similar problem but in all of them they got the blank screen when starting the device. Any clue what the issue could be ?
  9. Hey guys, Years ago I bought a brand new X3 Pro which came with pod farm and all of it's expansion packs for free. I've been running it on an iMac for ages and it's all been working fine until recently. I've bought a MacBook Pro and want to use pod farm with logic while on the go. I was just wondering if it's possible to get the expansion packs working somehow without having to carry my X3 Pro around with me and connect it every time I wish to use them? Thanks a lot for your time!
  10. So yesterday I updated line6 monkey, and now it won't find my Pod X3. ESN unkown... Here's the error Error: (Code 80007103) Failed read to firmware. My license manager is now unauthorized with an error of 80000002 or something. I've tried turning things on and off, plugging them in and out to different usb ports and so on. Also, when I am running Logic or any other of my DAWS and I open line 6 monkey, it now will crash whatever DAW I have open. What is going on?!
  11. Please put the Pod X3 Live back in production. Just the way it was, No new moddeling tech or current gen processing. I have owened, Pod HD500, Pod HD400, Pod HD Pro & Pod HD Desktop (twice). Every amp model sounds exactley the same. I think your current gen Algorhythmns are flawed. You had it right with X3 Live. I have the X3 Bean but need the effects loop of the X3 Live. I think this would be a nice alternative that you could offer for players I know this won't happen but, There it is....
  12. Can Pocket POD import BASS patches from my POD X3? If yes, how would it be done? I currently dont own Pocket Pod yet. Considering buying it. Thank you. Seb
  13. Hey everyone. I got a POD X3 bean and a M-Audio UNO MIDI-USB interface and i'd like to connect them to my computer (which is a Mac). However, as far as I'm concerned, the X3 bean does not have a MIDI output/input (which is kind of odd since the lower-end POD 2.0 does) and I'm trouble here.. What I want to do is very simple: just use my headphones to listen to what i'm playing in my guitar through the POD and to music playing from my computer at the same time. If I connect my headphone to the headphone jack in my POD and connect the POD to my Mac directly via USB, I can use the POD as my soundcard, right? So any sounds coming from the computer would be played through the POD to my headphones in the same way my guitar playing would, right? Most of the time I'm just playing along songs I have here, and if i can just play something on iTunes and hear it on the same headphone I'm using with my POD that would be great, it would solve most of my problems. With this can I also record stuff (simple stuff, just using GarageBand or whatever...)? And I'd also like to know if there is any way around this MIDI problem with the X3.. I figured the MIDI would be a good way to control the POD via computer. Using direct USB connection, I cannot control the pod using the computer, right? Bummer... Is there anything I can do to this? Thanks!
  14. HI there I own an X3 Live. -Can the X3 patches/sounds/ I have made on my X3 be imported into the HD? -Does it have bass cabs and amps? -Does the looper allow for tap tempo? -Can looper do 2 loops in separate channels on the HD like the boos loopers or would can only overdub multiple loops on same channel? Thanks Seb
  15. Q: Will PODxt or X3 tones work with the POD HD series? A: No. The POD HD tone architecture was built from the ground up and is different then our XT ands X3 series of PODs. Q: Will POD HD500X/500 tones work with the smaller 300 and 400 HD PODs? A: No. The POD HD500 routing capabilities make it far more flexible than the HD300 and HD400. Because of this, tones created in the HD500 will not translate over to the HD300 and HD400.
  16. Update Instructions Available HERE NOTE: For X3 Live and X3 Pro users, see notes on subsequent firmware releases at https://line6.com/software/index.html. POD X3 Product Family Flash Memory v2.0 RELEASE NOTES: If you are a POD X3/X3 Live/X3 Pro owner, please download and install the latest version of Line 6 Monkey software and use it to update your POD X3 Live to this latest version of Flash Memory. For best results, calibrate pedal after update] POD X3 v2.0 is a FREE update to all POD X3 Product Family customers. It includes 12 additional FX inspired by the sounds of sought-after stompboxes and rack gear! What does it include? Vocoder: Our 14 band Vocoder is based on the classic rack units employed by recording studios and modular synths since the early '70s. Use the decay knob to slow down the Vocoder's responsiveness to create some haunting drones. Dynamic Delay: Made popular by the T.C. Electronic® 2290 Dynamic Digital Delay. While you play, the Dynamic Delay keeps the volume of the echoes turned down, so that the echoes don't overwhelm what you're doing. Dimension: Based on* the Roland® Dimension D. One of the first true stereo chorus units. Relatively subtle in its nature, it became an industry standard for double-track effects. Pitch Vibrato: Based on* the Boss® VB-2. It contained a circuit that produced bubbly vibrato, but was popular for its 'rise time' control that when engaged, sped up to where you last set it. Voice Box: Inspired by Vocoders, Vocal Tracts & Surgical Tubing. This model gives your guitar a sound that's typical of a classic talk box. V-Tron: Voice Box meets Mu-Tron® III. In this model your guitar again 'speaks' with an almost human voice, but now it does so in response to your playing. Octisynth: Inspired by eight armed denizens of the deep. Everyone knows that all you need is a bottleneck and a reverb tank to get whale sounds, but how about our friend the Octopus? Q Filter: Your very own parked wah! You've heard it before from Mark Knopfler and from Brian May of Queen's a wah 'parked' in one position. Pattern Tremolo: Inspired by* Lightfoot Labs Goatkeeper. This effect is what you'd get if you could hook up a vintage keyboard sequencer to a tremolo. Frequency Shifter: A ring modulator gives you both up and down shifted frequencies. Here you can select just the up or down shifted frequencies. Barberpole Phaser: A classic effect from the world of modular synths. This phaser either sounds like it's always going up or always down depending on how you set it. Set to stereo you get both! Script Phaser: Based on* MXR® Phase 90. Just like the original our model only features a Speed control * All product names used in this webpage are trademarks of their respective owners, which are in no way associated or affiliated with Line 6.
