  1. Hi folks, I am not very familiar with audio so forgive me if I ask a stupid question. For my live- streaming session I bought a XD-V75L but I struggle to get a good sound. My audio level is very low ( barely goes above first line in the meter) . The only option I found is in the receiver “ output level”. But I am looking for input level though. Since I didn’t find it, I put the output level to +12db. But then I get really bad noise. Any advice how to set it up to get good sound with minimal noise? Appreciated, vivi
  2. Hi, new member here. Just realized as I was signing up that I own quite a bit of Line6-gear so I suppose it's about time. However, the reason for joining is this silly question. I just received a 2nd XD-V75 unit. Yay! Somehow I did not expect that mounting it next to my first unit would be an issue....but it is. Is there really no way to mount 2 XD's side by side or do I have to buy a bigger rack to facilitate the extra unit? Fun fact, I had a prior shock when I bought an extra 'short ear' to mount my XD in a 9.5" flight case. Spoiler alert: Didn't fit.
  3. Hi from Germany, I am a part-time audio engineer in Germany. During these strange times I developed an idea. I assembled a voltage breakout with a TA4F plug to provide the 5VDC for some reasons. I checked the voltage between PIN1 and PIN2 with my multimeter and it was showing me the expected value. But as I connected it to a load it seemed to me, that the TBP12 can't provide the electric current. Does anyone know, if there is a limitation for the electric current or if the power supply function is only working reliable, when a lavalier or headset is connected to the beltpack?   4. I'm going to build my system in two stages. Purchase six XD-V75 systems and later add an XD-AD8 and a pair of P180s. Given the limit of four chained receivers, which configuration would be best? A. Create two sets of three chained receivers B. Create a set of four chained receivers and a set of two chained receivers I assume RF2 mode is appropriate since there are no other legacy Line 6 devices being used.

  6. Greetings, My TBP12 Transmitter (part of the G50 system) has finally broken. The battery flap completely snapped off. I managed to tape it on at gig, but obviously this is not going to work full time, due to the need to be able to change batteries quickly. I'm living and working in the Middle East so finding a replacement is going to be a nightmare, if not impossible altogether. However, I do have an XD-V75 TBP12 Transmitter (part of the wireless headset mic system) - This unit looks exactly the same as the G50 TBP12, and is still in perfect condition due to not being used. Question: Will the XD-V75 TBP12 transmitter work with my G50? I can't check this as the receiver is not with me until the next gig (it is all stored at another location). Thank you in advance, P. nb. Thought I should add that I realize there are some settings on the XD-V75 TBP12 that will be useless with the G50 and of course I will need to set same RF Mode and Channel. etc.

  8. I need some help with Line 6 XD-V75 Firmware Updates Seems like youtube info is out of date with current Line6 support pages. I think I need to use Monkey - but can't find good instructions on it. I've downloaded Monday versions 1.72 and 1.74 - USB pick list stops at Variax... I don't see XD-V70 or V75 on list. I have several XD-V7x systems (75s and 70s, handhelds and body packs, and want to update to most current firmware. Hoping someone here can help point me to links and/or YouTube that can help. Do I need special USB Cable or interface box to do this? Thanks in advance! Mike
  9. Hello! I have a big problem with my line 6 xd v75 receiver. I tried with lots of capsules /. Shure beta 58, the last one is Heil rc 35, but the signal is very slow, it needs to be set to 12 db but it does feedback. Anyone else has this problem and how it can be solved. Thank you!
  10. Hey guys! I own a XD-V75 system and I need to replace the receiver (had an accident with a speaker falling over my rack and it crushed it). A friend of my mine is offering to sell me his old XD-V70 receiver which he claims is pretty much the same thing only without an USB port. Apparently it has already been updated with the latest firmware and channel options, so he says that the receiver now goes up to 14 channels (rf2) which should work fine with my hand held mic THH12. Can anyone confirm this? Will I be compromising any functionalities if I use a XD-V70 receiver with a XD-V75 mic? Thanks for the help! Cheers
  11. Hey guys, I've been looking for a mic pre to run my XD-V75 so I can bring it to line level and plug it into the rear Input 1 (Left/Mono balanced 1/4" TRS jack) of my Axe-Fx II XL+... Goal is to run vocals/harmonica/talkbox through the Axe for effects/amp/cab processing (yeah it's hard to believe this thing doesn't have a Mic In like the Helix!). Anyway, while doing so I got curious about whether there was some sort of vocal processor that could handle live pitch correction like the TC Helicon VoiceTone Correct, but with a line level 1/4" output so it could also function as my mic pre. And so I found the Tascam TA-1VP... A rack mounted vocal processor from 2011 that runs on Antares' software for pitch correction (their well regarded Auto-Tune) plus mic and analog tube modeling... And of course it has the 1/4" line level output that I need for the Axe. http://tascam.com/product/ta-1vp/]http://tascam.com/product/ta-1vp/ I've been doing some research and even though the unit is a bit old, reviews from the last couple of years seem to imply that it can still hold its ground (considering the speed at which DSP has evolved in the last few years, this kind of tech could've been rendered useless pretty quick). It is certainly not perfect with very limited EQ capabilities, probably an older version of the Auto-Tune software (as it looks like it has never received a firmware update) and a compressor that apparently leaves lots of artifact in wav files when recording (not really an issue for me as I'll be using it in live situations predominantly)... But the pitch correction and mic modeling both seem to be top notch, so I figured those features could be great complements to the XD-V75's own models (which are quite different). It certainly looks like this can fit the bill for what I'm looking for (please do point out if I'm missing something that might not work for my primary goal of running the XD-V75 through the Axe-Fx), but I do have a key specific question on how to use their mic modeling combined with a XD-V75 that maybe someone that has used/owned a TA-1VP or that understands the XD-V75 on a more technical level, might be able to answer So, the way the TA-1VP mic modelling works (see page 26: http://tascam.com/content/downloads/products/546/e_ta-1vp_om_va.pdf]http://tascam.com/content/downloads/products/546/e_ta-1vp_om_va.pdf ) is that you first choose the "Source" mic you're gonna be using (meaning the actual physical mic you're singing through) from a menu list that includes 14 of the most widely used mics (Shure, Audio Technica, Rode, etc). If your mic is not on the list, then you must choose from a list of "Generic" mic categories that includes: hand-held dynamic, studio dynamic, wireless, small diaphragm condenser and large diaphragm condenser... This is gonna serve as the basis upon which all the available models will be build, so once you choose the "right Source" mic you can go ahead and choose the model you wish to sound like. That being said, my dilemma is what "Source" mic am I supposed to choose on the TA-1VP if I'm using a XD-V75?... Considering that the XD-V75 is obviously not on the list of "Source" mics, then in theory I'm suppose to choose one from the "Generic" list... But should I choose hand-held dynamic or wireless? (considering the XD-V75 is actually both)... Another approach, since the XD-V75 is also a modeler, would be to choose the same mic on both the XD-V75's models and the TA-1VP "Source" list (for the example the Shure SM58)... I'm guessing that in this manner the "shape and color" of the signal coming from the XD-V75 should match what the TA-1VP is "expecting" to receive to build upon the chosen model... But then again this is still all being done through a wireless mic and instinct tells me that if the option for wireless exists on the "Generic" list, it's because the TA-1VP probably builds the model based on more than just the "shape and color" of the "Source" mic signal (maybe there are some characteristics on the mic's response that aren't carried through with a wireless signal?) Anyway, I want to figure this out before deciding to go ahead and buy something like the TA-1VP because my main goal is still to be able to use the XD-V75, so if the fact that it is wireless is going to be an issue for using the mic modeling feature of the TA-1VP, then I might just drop this whole idea and just get a simpler and cheaper mic pre... I'm certainly excited about all the things that the TA-1VP could probably help me achieve in my live rig in complement to the XD-V75 and would love to be able to just buy it and figure this all out myself by actually using it, but I'm afraid my budget is not enough to allow this experiment which is why I'll appreciate the wisdom on this forum to help me figure this one out!   12. HELP URGENT!!! I just perform an update to my line 6 g30 transmiter and receiver using xd-v75 receiver borowed from local music store. It was a line 6 xd-v75 headset unit. Update to my g30 went fine. But after the update installed, i can't start xd-v75 receiver. When i plug the power supply and switch the power button on, the screen doesn't show anything but black. The rf and battery meter in the left panel blinking red. Everything works normal before i perform update. But when i use xd-v75 on loader enabled mode to computer, it works fine. Line 6 monkey can detect the xd-v75 receiver and show that their current firmware is 2.01. Before performing update to my g30 receiver and transmitter, i check if my g30 receiver and transmitter detected in line 6 monkey. So i plug my receiver first, select g30 receiver from the list, and line 6 monkey detect it. After that i don't perform update right away, i press quit so i can check if my g30 transmitter detected in line 6 monkey. When i press quit, instead of quiting line 6 monkey right away, i saw line 6 monkey start reconfiguring xd-v75 for no reason. i saw performing mcu and other stuff. I'm not connected to the internet yet that time. I wonder is this is what causing problem with the xd-v75 receiver. What happened to that xd-v75 receiver? Will a firmware update solve it or can i solve it without firmware update (the stock firmware is 2.01)? If i update the firmware only on the receiver (update to 2.04), will it still work without problem with the transmitter (tbp12) which have an older firmware (2.01)? Honestly i feel bad with the music store. I just don't want to touch another stuff (the transmitter) because they already think that i broke the receiver, so if i touch the transmitter then they'll think that i'm gonna ruin the transmitter too. Please help me. Tomorrow i'll be back to the music store to fix this. Sorry for bad english.
  13. I was very happy with my line 6 wireless system when I bought it from guitar center in 2013. After the first month of owning it, it had audio problems. I sent it back and it was promptly fixed. The transmitter has always had little ticks (signal and audio dropouts,self muting etc.) A couple of months ago the transmitter stopped working. The receiver shows full battery level and rf signal, but no audio meter on the receiver. If you mute the transmitter, it will indicate with a red flashing light on the audio meter (which is normal functionality) I removed the capsule and tested the contacts. I got sound from the contacts which gave me the idea that the capsule was malfunctioning. I purchased a new capsule and updated the firmware on both the transmitter and receiver.There is still NO AUDIO and NO AUDIO METER on the receiver. I created a support ticket and promptly sent the capsule back. I got a confirmation email for my support ticket and NO response. Upon following the link on the confirmation email today it appears my ticket has been deleted. I'm beyond at my wits end with line 6 at this point. I would love to have a wireless for my tour. If I do not get help here, I will switch back to Sennheiser,

The instructions for channel scanning is incomplete in the Relay G70 & G75 Advanced Guide and in the Relay G70 & G75 User Manual There is no mention of the channel scanning process and how to use properly. I searched through other digital wireless manuals and in the XD-V75 User Manual, on page 14 I found instructions for a similar process. I assume it works the same way. This should be updated in the G75 user manuals to correctly provide instructions, as you know this really critical to an error free experience of using digital wireless systems. Also, the steps to get to the Channel Scan on the G75 are more complicated than they should be. The channel scanning procedure is something that should be done at every venue, with more than one TB516G this is an onerous process. Especially since unlike the G55, there is no indicator of wireless interference on the receiver display unless you do a channel scan. I would like this improved on the menus on the next firmware update to make this task easier to go through.
  15. I worked my HH TX to death and finally cracked it in HALF, Yes HALF. I called TECH SUPPORT Monday and they said that the V Lines are all compatible. My new HH TX is in, but I'm getting a "NO TRANS" message on the REC's display. I've matched the channels, no avail. Is there a magic pair button or way to make these two talk that I can't find in the manuals or videos? Marc O'Leary
  16. I'm puzzled about something. I recently bought a xd-v75 handheld mic system, and at the same time I bought a TBP12 bodypack transmitter separately since they're supposed to work seamlessly with any of the line6 receivers. I changed both to RF1 since that is the recommendation I find all over. But I noticed something that I can't figure out. I can only access channel 1-12 on the tbp12 while the xd-v75 receiver has 14 channels available. Why is this? Firmware trouble? Something else? How do I fix it so the TBP can access all 14 channels?
  17. I have two THH12 transmitters that will not power on. The Screen flashes on and off but doesn't go to the menu. Has anyone else had this problem? One of them will occasionally turn on completely then starts to flash the other just flashes.
  18. Hello, I'm trying to connect a Beyerdynamic TG-X55c to a TBP12. So far I have soldered the TA4F and have signal, but it is very low compared to when it is connected to the Beyer system. I made the jumper between Pin 4 and 3. Is there something else I can do to get a stronger signal from this mic. I really like it because it is easy and quick to set up with various speakers and very feedback insensitive. I Couldn't find out what the sensitive is. Anyone has experience with it or a suggestion.   19. Hello, godmorning to everyone !! .... I use a Relay G55 for my guitar and we have a XD-V75 for the singer with a V75 Sc Mic, I have to say that the sound of the mic is great, the singer is very happy now .... the G55 is also great, maybe is better than a cable .... but we have a problem, the signal is lost very often also at 2 or 3 meters, it happens in open space and even indoors . So I would like to use the antenna P 180 or P 360. I have two questions : What is the difference between P180 and P 360 ? One is directional on 180 degrees and the other is omnidirectional at 360 degrees ? what you suggest to use ? Can I use these antennas connecting together the XD-V75 and Relay G55 ? I mean : the XD-V75 has the out plug for antenna, so my idea is : Connect the XD-V75 to the P 360 through the Antenna A & B - Connect Relay G55 from it's antenna plug to the Antenna Out of XD-V75 Is this correct ?
