  1. HX Edit 2.82 bug with Customizing a Footswitch Label in command center. Cannot name more than one footswitch. I have to go on the Helix Floor directly to name them. Is it a known bug? I haven’t seen anything about this in the forum. thanks in advance.
  2. Does someone at Line 6 or Yamaha - or someone here - have an updated f/x, AMP and speaker models list for 2.82 on a spreadsheet they can share? Not just the adds - the whole thing, all the models on Helix as of 2.82. Doesn't it make sense to have a consistently updated, living document somewhere?
  3. This is a joystick feature that allows the user to toggle different features when you press / hold / turn the joystick. The Helix needs to be running firmware version 2.80 or above. When the joystick is pressed, this starts a hidden timer for this feature to work properly. So when the joystick is still being held down, the timer is allowing the feature to become active. Common issue: Some users have mentioned that the joystick is slow to respond. If you continue to hold down the button, you are still activating the timer for this feature to be used. For the best result with the joystick , we suggest pressing and then taking your hand off the joystick for a full press. The Joystick button should now respond better. You can also change the feature option of the joystick encoder by going to Global Settings > Preferences > Joystick Encoder – this feature cannot be disabled. You can only change between Model/Selection.
  4. Hi! Yesterday I tried to update my floor Helix to 2.82. I updated my L6 Updater, downloaded the 2.82 file, and hooked up the usb. Everything went as it should until the Helix went through the reboot. I got the "Boot Failure. Entered Update Mode" message with the scrolling helix and red load line moving left to right and then stopping at the far right. There is a :-3 in the upper left (see pics) I spent the rest of the afternoon on the Google looking for fixes. I found different things to try...different usb cables, different usb ports, etc. I even tried a different computer. I also tried the b6/b12 safe boot and all I get is "Entered Update Mode" message, but just the message (see pic). I even tried the b5/b6 global reset and it reverts back to the "Boot Failure" message. The problem as I can see it is this: L6 Updater doesn't recognize the Helix is there in order for me to do anything to it. Windows does, as it makes the audio alert when I plug the cable in. I'm at a loss at this point. HELP!
  5. Hey, guys I just updated my Helix LT from 2.60 to 2.82 and saw in the instructions that in order to get the new presents from 2.80(?) I need to restore my Helix presets and then restore my backup (yes I made one) to get my custom presets back. My question is are the "new" presets worth the hassle? I never used any of the original presets and just immediately started crafting my own and downloading user-made presents since day one. But curiosity has me wondering if there is anything amazing in the newer presets I could be missing out on. What are your thoughts?
