  1. After over 10 hours of installing and reinstalling I finally managed to get the USB Driver to install and run. Problem: Workbench installs fine Line 6 Monkey installs and updates fine but reports no USB Driver Windows Device Manager reports corrupted or incompatible driver when usb interface is plugged in The solution: Click Start, Type Core, Select Core Isolation and run, turn off the Memory Integrity then reboot. The driver then miraculously functions fine. Line 6, please pin this somewhere as it was incredibly hard to find a solution and please see if the issue can be addressed.
  2. Please help! Popping and banging when changing effects. Other glitches include: Poly sustain freaking out and sustaining previous chords, also a random global settings change where tapping up and down on bank mode just went through each bank individually rather than up/down a page. None of this happened before in previous software, also I re-installed previous firmware and it all worked normally. Have reset to factory multiple times (with and without using my old back ups) and updated using both Line 6 updater and HX Edit Update: after loads of updates and exploration i've found that it may just be when the Kinky Boost is selected, the reverbs bang when you scroll through them. Does anyone else have this issue?
  3. Greetings! If you are reading this then you are probably a proud owner of the Helix. With that said, I'm looking for an answer. Has anyone had their presets and settings wiped out in any given situation? I'm talking when a breaker pops, after transportation or even just booting Helix up normally. Has anyone had that issue, or should I really get into the habit of backing my presets up? I use Helix Rack to tour with. It's been absolutely fantastic to use but with touring, you know that stuff seems to go wrong at the most inconvenient time. I'm just trying to gather a failure report. Questions does not pertain to corrupt files that occur from updating Helix - I already knew that was a thing. Thanks folks, and keep on Helix-ing! Jaime Trevino of RockStar
  4. Please be aware that downloaded tones, patches and presets that were created by other users have the potential to be corrupted and not work correctly on the target device. Firewall/Antivirus/Internet security applications, Internet/video accelerators and proxy servers, among other things, can be causes of trouble with downloaded files. If your device freezes, a rule of thumb is to back up your custom patches, reset the unit to its factory state, ensure the unit does not freeze while in this state, then load your patches one by one, testing after each load to determine which patch is faulty. Otherwise, please contact our Customer Support team at www.Line6.com/support/tickets. Please be prepared to supply your backup file so that we can investigate your case further.
  5. Hi there! I wanted some help on a corrupt install. I installed an update from my phone via bluetooth but the install got interrupted half-way. Now the amp won't be detected by my PC (using the Line6 update software) or respond to any inputs. It just shows all the patch lights as on (A,B,C,D). Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you
  6. We've found that tones created while using the original 1.01 firmware can sometimes be corrupted, regardless if they are new or downloaded tones. This results in the device locking up, with a factory reset being needed for recovery (press and hold the Master Volume knob and the TAP button as you power up the unit). Firmwares at version 1.10 or later resolves this issue. Tones created in version 1.10 or later can no longer be corrupted like they would have under version 1.01. However, corrupted tones created in version 1.01 are still problematic when used in Firehawks updated to later firmware versions. We encourage those encountering this issue to update to the latest firmware via the Line 6 Updater software, then perform a factory reset. Please note that any tones not backed up to My Tones prior to a reset will be lost (corrupted tones cannot be uploaded because they crash the unit and thus can't be selected for uploading).
  7. I have seen others on the forum with the same problem, with no solution, so bare with me or point me to the solution. When making edits and creations in the PC editor the "send" button does not send the data to the pod entirely. Double-clicking the preset (in editor) loads the sounds and visual representations as expected on pod and PC However, attempting to save a preset from editor to pod by pressing the send button only sends half the info- Visually the amp and effects appear to be stored on the pod but the sounds are from whatever was saved in that patch previously and have no reflection on the sound. The only way to get the "new" preset is to power the pod on then off and then the preset appears AND sounds as expected/saved. using pod HD500x with the designated editor
