  1. Hi Hope someone knows the answer to what is probably a basic question. I use Cubase to record. I can connect my HD500X to it and use the HD500X as the soundcard. No problem with this. But, my usual recording method is to use a Steinberg UR242 interface and not use the Pod at all. However, I would like to use some of the sounds included in the POD in Cubase but without using the POD hardware. Is it possible to use HD Edit software stand alone as a source for recording in Cubase (for those familiar with Cubase, I want to be able to use the POD Edit as an insert into an audio track, selected via the usual dropdown) ? Cubase recognises VST format files. So my simple question is: Is the format of the sounds in the POD and Edit in this VST format ? I know that it is possible to plug the POD into the Steinberg interface using the line out of Pod into the line in of the Steinberg unit, but I want to use the software without the hardware for simplicity reasons. Many thanks.
