  1. Yesterday I tried to upgrade all my old wireless Line6 devices in order to run rf2. I sucessfully upgraded the Relay G30 beltback and receiver. I also upgraded the XD-V30 receiver, but did not manage to upgrade the XD-V30 hanheld. I found the instructions for this device a bit confusing. I got to the point where I should press the power button until the LCD display showed OFF, but no matter how long I pressed the power button, it never showed the text OFF. It was a little unclair which units power button to press, but since the only one that can be held is on the handheld device, I figured it must be this. Has anyone of you sucessfully upgraded this device?
  2. There is a HUGE BUG with the Firmware 2.0 for the Spider IV 75. If you try to restore the "Factory Presets" using the method by powering the amp off, then pressing and holding the "A" button, then powering the amp again, and waiting for the screen to ask you to confirm the reset of the "Factory Presets", then you're going to make a MESS with the IQ of your amp. It simply doesn't work at all ... the result is a HUGE NOISE for each and every preset and for each and every amp setting. The only way to go is to 1st make a safeguard on your computer of your personal preset bundle under Firmware 2.0. Then you must install the old Firmware 1.01 (or the last Firmware under which the reset method worked without trouble), then you can SAFELY use the reset method (power on while pressing "A" button), and then you must install the Firmwares back to version 2.0. In the end you wind up with your amp loaded with the Factory Presets running under Firmware 2.0, and you can finally make a safeguard of that Factory Presets Bundle on your computer. Either Line 6 decides to update the Spider IV Firmware (like a version 2.01) to include a FULL FUNCTIONAL RESET PROCEDURE, or you need to go back to the last Firmware under which the reset method was still working fine. Have fun.
  3. Can anyone give em some advice ? I updated to Firmware 2.0 and all the amp models sound really distorted and ugly . I used the shortboard an line 6 monkey to update. Is there a way to fix this problem ?
  4. Hi, I have updated my fx100 to 2.0 using the PC plugin and it now won't output any sound at all. No guitar signal, no music via Bluetooth. I have tried phone out, amp out, main out, all are dead. I reverted back to 1.01 and it works again. I then used ios to update to 2.0 and the same thing happened. I have now gone back to 1.01 and am staying there for now. Its annoying because I want to use my Android Tablet. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  5. Haven't gotten the chance to play around too much with the new firmware, but so far I really like it! I thought I'd post a quick clip I made last night: https://soundcloud.com/chuskey/variax-2-0-firmware-tone-test I thought the Strat sounded so good it made me dust off some SRV licks and play some blues :) I was running the Strat neck pickup into a HD500 straight into an audio interface. I was using the Dr. Z model with no external processing. Overall impression of the update was that the models were way more dynamic and lively. I even noticed that on the acoustics. I know they had already gotten the HD upgrade in a previous firmware, and it could be my imagination, but even they seemed to have a much wider dynamic range than before. I'm digging it, especially for a free update!
