  1. Hi, I use a HX Stomp for several months for professional use and I really like it. I built a external footswitch to change presets (FS4-5) and I'm using the HX Stomp in Snapshot Mode, that's great ! But... My problem : when I play in live conditions, I'm not that precise and I often step on 2 footswitches instead of the right one, so it open the bank of presets, which is really (really!) not confortable before a solo!... My question : is there a way to disable that function? I mean, keeping the control of snapshots with the footswitches but nothing else. I can't find anything in the Global settings... If not, is there a way to submit this idea to Line 6, and hoping they include it in a next firmware? By creating a petition or something like that... :) Thanks for your help! PS : "be precise" is not an valid answer ;)
  2. I am aware of snapshot power and how to change their behavior in Global Settings. However there is one feature that I miss in this logic. "Snapshot safe" setting for DSP block bypass. it is used in digital mixers. When you load a snapshot you can choose which channels are not affected - safe. Choosing "snapshot safe" setting would cause no bypass state change while changing snapshots. What do you think?
  3. Hi all, I've put up an idea on ideascale for line 6 to swap the compressor and noise gate positions. I think the reversed positions make more sense. If you think so too please vote here line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Firehawk-fx-compressor-and-gate-swap/950226-23508?submitted=1#idea-tab-comments
  4. So, I haven't tried this yet, but I plan to and if it works it will be pretty cool... (if it doesn't, I guess I'll have to start it as a suggestion on the Idea thing). JHS makes a pedal that they call the stutter (or something like that) and it is a momentary killswitch. Basically, you can tap the switch on this pedal and it kills the signal until you let go, so you can tap a patter and it will "stutter" to that pattern. I was thinking that I might be able to set up a footswitch on the HX effects to do the same effect (have it control the position value of the volume pedal effect with the level 100 normally and have it go to 0 when depressed). What ya think?
  5. I'm new to the forum, but I've been looking around for a while and haven't seen anyone recommend this yet, so I wanted to make a suggestion. I am enjoying the Helix Editor software quite a bit, but one fairly simple change would make the program much smoother for me to use. If they would add a pulldown menu of favorite blocks, I could build new patches much easier. I know that I can open a preset, copy the block, then scroll to the preset I'm working on and paste it where I need it, but having your favorite chorus or delay already set and ready to go would be great! Anyone else with me on this?
  6. I am more than ever "in love" with my POD HD. Tweaking and tones gets better from day to day. That's why I have given him some supplements and toys, to satisfy him and myself. First of all I like to present my vintage-tennisbag which costs me less than 10 USD. The advantage of this is, that so (as opposed to a discernible effect-pedal-bag) probably nobody would break up my car. Since when pressing the footswitch repeatedly ends up in dirt and a lot of dust on the black surface, I bought for less than 4 USD a table-brush set, which I always carry in my vintage-tennisbag with the POD. To ensure that no cables get caught in the pedal and limit the range of motion, I have attached a self-adhesive Velcro tape to the side of the unit. To prevent accidental sticking of the hated EU-adapter of the power supply, I have around once wrapped the adapter with Velcro tape. And finally, just to be on the safe side, I have bought this power-supply for emergency (for around 12 USD as postet here…) Maybe I can inspire some users with my given suggestions? It would be a pleasure for me! * If there are any problems with my uploaded images you can check them in my german forum-thread here…
  7. Hi, I have a pod hd500x, which I am using extensively. The other day during a gig in a bar the following happened. I was playing as usual. It was a very noisy song. I couldn't hear my self very good. Then the song ends, everybody stops playing, a moment of silence in the room, except my guitar continues to play. I had accidentally engaged my looper while playing. This was extremely embarrassing. For a moment I just wanted to to existe anymore. :o I like the looper fonction of the pod but it should be possible to deactivate for this type of situation. I looked in the manual but could not find this functionality. Therefore my wish to Line 6 for a future firmware upgrade would be the following: In global settings allow to assign the looper footswitch to either - looper - toggle on/off the 5th assigned FX or Amp in preset mode This would really be helpful.
