  1. 1. Download and install our update application utility called Line 6 Central. You'll be able to find the download here on our downloads page: https://line6.com/software/. 2. Once you have that installed, you'll need to boot up the HX One in update mode. Do this by pressing and holding down the LEFT arrow while powering on the HX One. You may not see any screen, only a blank screen when it's in this update mode (The HX One should go into update mode in any case where the update fails on it's own. Holding down the left arrow will just force it to go into this state manually). 3. Connect the HX One to your computer with a USB-C cable. Make sure its connected directly to your computer. No hubs or secondary connections. If you're on a desktop computer, connect it to the back of the machine near the power cable. Be sure to disconnect any MIDI cables during this process (If MIDI clock is sent to the HX One during the update process, the update may not complete. Disconnecting MIDI cables prevents this from happening with third-party devices). 4. Once you launch Line 6 Central, it will ask you if you want to identify the unknown device. Click "Identify", then you should see a list of devices on your screen. Select "HX One". Be sure to login with your Line 6 Username, and then select "Perform Update" for the latest version. This should allow the update to install 100%, and it will display "Update Successful" on the screen. 5. Once the update is installed, you may need to power cycle the HX One, by disconnecting the power cable, and re-connecting. If the update was installed properly, the HX One will boot normally showing the update version on the LCD screen.
  2. HELLO LINE 6 BUDDIES! I'm two-track recording an acoustic guitar with my POD HD500X as the audio interface. I have a RODE NT1A condenser mic plugged into a mixer with phantom power. This mixer is then connected to the POD's 'Guitar In' input via guitar lead, and there is also an acoustic guitar connected to the 'AUX' input for a direct signal. This is all running through Logic Pro X on my Macbook Pro (Early 2015) with 16GB RAM. I have used this setup before and it has all worked fine, except today I am hearing intermittent static coming from both inputs at seemingly random intervals. It sounds like a short burst of a bitcrusher-like sound, and then goes back to normal after less than a second. It can't be any problem with the mic/mixer because I am getting the problem on AUX (direct input) as well as the Guitar In (mic) input. I have tried different USB cables, and have tried different power outlets. I have also tried a different audio interface (that can unfortunately only handle one input) that didn't seem to have the same problem, leading me to think that it also isn't an issue with Logic Pro X... SO... Has this happened to anyone before, and can anyone think of any reason this might be happening? Yeah, I've turned it off and on again ;)
  3. Just purchased a JVT- 69 and noticed when using the mag pickups the 5 way toggle switch works perfect but when I switch to the virtual instruments position 2 and 4 don't work right. In either position the instrument is intermittent. I have to hold the switch a little out of that location to get it to work and then when I let go, it goes back to the instrument on either side of that position even though it is still in position 2 or 4. I updated to the latest firmware and It seemed like it got worse. Has anyone else had this issue. It currently renders the virtual Side of the instrument almost unusable. I have not found anything on this issue other that one other guy made a video on YouTube and his was really bad (hence his cursing in the background).
  4. I have a ux8 that I bought probably about 4-5 years ago that I used mainly for recording drums. I have not used it though in about 1 1/2 - 2 years and it seems like there is a problem with the power. When I first plugged in the power cable and usb and hit the power button nothing lit up. After I hit the power button a couple of times it finally lit up but my computer would not recognize anything on the usb port. First I tried with an old p.c. someone had given me that still has windows xp on it and I had too many problems, not only with the power but also with the usb port recognizing it and with monkey not downloading and installing the drivers properly. So then I decided to instead try my mac and install everything and tried it on there but the drivers still will not download properly or at least monkey keeps saying that I need to DL new drivers or there is a little yellow triangle with a !. But the power is really what seems to be more of the problem. Most of the time it does not turn on or at least the 2 gauges do not light up and the 2 different times they did light up when I hit the power button the 2 lights did not turn off??? Did not matter how many times I hit the power button they would either not turn on at all or the 2 different times they did turn on when hitting the power button, would not turn off. I'm stumped.
  5. The right speaker in my Spider II amp goes "in and out". I've noticed that if I go to a volume above 5, both speakers work, but below, the right speaker has problems. Any recommendations on how to troubleshoot and fix this problem?
