  1. Apple's policy is that if you acquire an app, free or not, the app should be available to download to any of your personal devices. However, as the app is updated, it's requirements may change and prevent fresh downloads on older devices. Example: If you attempt to download AMPLIFi Remote to an old device, and the minimum iOS version is 11 or above, you'll get an installation error: "This application requires iOS version 11 or later. You must update to iOS 11 in order to use this application." To get AMPLIFi Remote onto the older device, you'd have to first acquire the app via iTunes on a computer, or via the App Store on a device that is running the required iOS version, then download the app on the older device. Note that iPhone-only apps won't appear on an iPad, and vice versa. For our example, we'll use iTunes. Use the search box for the name of your application. Select the app in the search results. Click the Buy or Get button to acquire the app (you don't have to download it). Use your older iOS device and search for the exact app in the App Store or click on the Purchased icon in the lower navigation bar. When you locate the app, click the Install button. After you click Install, you'll see a popup indicating that there is an older version of the app available for download. Click Download to install the last compatible version.
  2. I've saved recordings to the SD card and transferred them onto my desktop. However I cannot figure out how to play them on my computer to play in iTunes or load them on to youtube. I want to be able to play them other than on my amp. I read the spider jam advanced guide and I didn't see anything that would help. Please advise.
  3. So is it officially done as far as development goes? Are we stuck with a compressor after all drive/amp blocks? Are we stuck with completely disabling iTunes in the app if we don't want to have the first track blast out of our headphones when we start up the app? are we stuck having to log into the App every other time we open it? this thing is soooooo close to being a worthy live backup device, but as of right now its pretty much only good for home jamming (which it is very good for), but it seems a few minor tweaks could really improve things.
  4. Hi, I've read in this forum that it is possible to connect the iPhone to the Helix via camera adapter using the USB in in the back of the helix in order to stream audio. So, here I am. Everything connected but the music comes out of the loudspeaker of the iPhone and not my headphone (connected to the Helix). What do I have do? Thanks for your input and help. Markus
  5. Hello, Based on my use of the AMPLIFI Remote App V 2.50.3 on iOS 9.3.1 both with an iPhone6S and iPad 2 (when logged in with a Line 6 account), I was hoping other can confirm the current limitations I have discovered: All itunes Music will appear in the Amplifi App, as long as it is on (downloaded to) the iOS Device. All itunes Music purchased (not necessary downloaded) will appear in the Amplifi App, as long as it was purchased in iTunes (note, does not need to be downloaded to the iOS Device), as long as "Settings > Hide Songs Not On Device" is set to off.* Home sharing of itunes Music Library from a PC/Computer is not supported, and will not display that Music in the App at all. * Note, the 'retrieving tones' ability would sometimes not work on the iPad 2 when playing a music file from the Music Library displayed in the App. This seemed to be able to be worked around, by ensuring at least one song from the itunes library was downloaded to the iOS device, and played to allow a retrieve tones to occur. If other users could please confirm my experiences above reflect their own it would be appreciated :)
  6. I like to play along to bands albums with my guitar through a UX2 while simultaneously listening to them on Itunes. I've noticed though, that If i don't have my UX2 settings just right (in terms of lowering the volume of the amps) the UX2 loudness will cause the ITUNES to completely stop. Actually, every other application that makes sound stops working. For instance when I get on ableton to play my guitar through a UX2 over a simple drum beat, the sound stops working on ableton. The only sound that does work is the guitar signal through the UX2. Is this because of my sound card?? Anybody know of a quick fix instead of rebooting/restarting the computer every time i do not calculate the volumes right?
  7. *** Problem has been solved. If you use iTunes Match, any song you try to play through the AMPLIFi App will not play. The actually song has to be on your actual device.*** The biggest issue (not for me because I am an apple user) is that this is NOT geared for anyone who uses anything else but iOS and buys their music through iTunes (this iTunes part is a problem for me because I do not buy all my music through iTunes). With the AMPLIFi app, you can only stream music that has been purchased through iTunes. Also, this music is the only music that pulls up suggested tones to match the music. ***All devices (iOS, Android, Mac, PC, Windows Phones) will be able to stream their audio to the amp via Bluetooth (provided it has Bluetooth capability). But the amp's tone matching functions DO NOT WORK with anything else but iOS and music strictly purchased through iTunes. I am assuming that this is how the tone matching works. Line 6 must have teamed up with Apple and use the metadata in the music from iTunes to match up tones. Even music that you put into your iTunes library from CDs or if you purchased through Amazon will not be able to be streamed through the AMPLIFi app and have tone matching capabilities.*** I have found this out when I was messing with the free iPhone AMPLIFi app. Check out my video of that here.
