  1. Just ordered a mic preamp and it's on its way.. I want to connect it to my Pod HD Pro X & as far as I know the best way to do this is to connect it to a line level input. However, in the manual it stated that the line input in the Pod HD Pro X is unbalanced. Now the real question: Will it deteriorate its sound if I connect my preamp to an unbalanced input? or is it better if I connect my preamp to the mic input and set the mic gain on the pod really low. Btw here is the chain going to look like: Shure sm7b > Preamp > Pod HD Pro X. I really dont want to buy an audio interface since the one in Pod is good enough to connect to my daw. Although, I'll buy one only if I have to  Thanks.
  2. I'm going from my POD HD Pro to a power amplifier to a cab for live. My question is what is the difference between +4 and -10 ? Also, what is ideal for live... Studio mode or power amp or combo mode? Still not really sure. Thank you in advance :)
  3. Hi, I'm just got my DT25 HD today. And I'm going to use the cabinet simulated direct out to my Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 audio interface, but I'm not sure which input to plug to, should I plug to line input or the preamp input of the audio interface? Thanks!
  4. hey guys - new here so if this already a post my apologies. i'm running a wireless G50 system from my guitar into my Pod HD Pro X into the LINE INPUT (L-MONO) on the back of my Pod set on the -10db switch, which is then going out into a SAMSON SERVO 200 Power Amplifier into a MARSHALL 4x12 cab. I play progressive/metal hardcore and the tones in this thing are absolutely phenomenal - sounds like a real amp. clean and drive tones sound fantastic when i plug straight into the GUITAR INPUT on the front of the POD, but i'm trying to keep the face of my rack nice and tidy so i thought i'd run wireless into the back into the Line Input. this is where my problem is - the drive channels and my pads and lead channels work absolutely fine, but i cannot for the life of me get the Clean channels to work through it - absolutely NO sound what-so-ever even though they work absolutely fine plugged into the FRONT GUITAR INPUT. can anyone point me towards a solution? cheers B)
  5. I play guitar at home as a hohby. I have an old Spider III 30 watt amp and am looking at options for upgrading my sound. Would there be any drawbacks (such as fidelity) to feeding the output of a POD HD into the line input (CD/MP3) in the front of my Spider, which I assume is designed to be uncolored, which is what I'd want? Has anyone tried this? Any thoughts?
