  1. What's the best way to get a better palm mute chug sound out of the Standard? The models, so far, to me don't seem to be tight enough. Seems like a fairly common problem due to the piezo being behind your palm. So is there a good setting to use on the model that works well? I'll keep playing around with my Firehawk to see if I can get a good sound from it using the single coil magnetic pickup, too. My existing patches don't sound great with the magnetic pickup, so any tips there are welcome. Last resort would be replacing the bridge pickup. Any particular ones anyone has had good success with?
  2. Model: JTV-89f Firmware: 2.21 Pedal: POD HD500X and Helix I typically play rock and metal. When palm muting, I am trying to achieve a nice crisp sharp attack with heavy distortion. Even with the high gain pack, I cannot seem to achieve this sound. The notes all sound muddy. I have tried positioning the pickups in minor increments up and down in workbench HD and while the tone definitely changes from brighter to darker tones, the mud is present regardless of placement. Am I missing some settings? Is this style of sound simply not the intended aim of the JTV (it seems most of the models are for vintage guitars)? Just looking for some help / information on getting modern metal tones out of the guitar. Thanks!

    Palm Mute Crunch

Hello, I have a pod HD 500. I play rhythm on a few songs with my band and need a really good, tight crunchy sound for some palm muted sections. Anybody in line 6 world have a favorite patch for this?
