  1. For some weird reason the audio from my Helix LT USB records as midi. I have tried Reaper, GarageBand, and Audacity. All of them record the guitar as a midi file, and playback is just individual tones. I have confirmed that I am using the USB out connection and cable. I have confirmed my track output is USB. I have confirmed that I am using the correct input/output for each DAW. I have searched all over and can't find out what setting I have wrong. Can anyone help me out? I'm currently running: 2018 Macbook pro with Helix LT (updated to 2.92) connected via USB.
  2. Hi people, So, I want to record wet and dry signal using my POD HD 500X. As you can see in the first picture, I used 2 paths to do that. Te problem is, I can't separate output 1 from 2 as they are the Main output in my MIDI configs. How do I change that? Is there anyway I can make it work? thank you.
  3. So I started recording some guitar track tru Reaper via HD 500 USB port into PC USB. My backing track sound same tru earphones as it does going tru my clean channel of the amp. However my recorded guitar track was lacking a lot of delay and reverb. while playing live the delay/reverb ratio seemed perfect. So I increased the mix on both delay and reverb. Sounded terrible playing it but recorded it and sounds pretty good to me that way. Why would there be a discrepancy in USB signal vs line out? Are my global settings wrong? (I am using tube pre amp for clean channel drive at 2, volume at 7, no efx loop method) funny thing is modulation an over all sound of the guitar is not changed (at least to my ears) but time effx are.
  4. Hello... Really at my wits end here. Been using my amplifi 75 for a year now and its been great. Just found out about the new firmware updates which enables amplifi devices to act as an usb interface. I'm on windows 10 64-bit so i had to install the line 6 driver 2 files. However, after downloading the files and launching ableton live 9, amplifi wasn't detected. I checked device manager and confirmed it was using the v1.76 drivers and did a factory reset after the update, still catch no ball... Anybody have any clue how to solve this?
  5. Hi guys, I'm sorry if this seems an old topic but I have this problem since long time, nowhere I found a solution after browsing for weeks I gave up. Tutorials, links, youtube... nowhere answers it. I want somehow to record my guitar while I monitor what I listen from the recording software, and I don't want to monitor via headphones, but via audio monitors. I tried plugging my X3 into USB to record, but here is what happens: - When I record (record audio signal is ON) I don't listen to my guitar; - When I listen to my guitar, I just can't record it (record audio signal is OFF); - When I listen to the guitar, there appears a monster latency, surely bigger than 500ms (impossible to play, record or anything). I got sick trying to fix and set ASIO drivers, many different audio recording demo softwares, but I simply couldn't make it to run in a reasonable way. I just hate the idea of not being able to make what I need. My system got digital audio from its motherboard (ASUS P6T Deluxe V2), and the audio is carried via spdif cable from MoBo to the VGA, and then, the HDMI cable carries the audio output until the video monitor. I also tried to use the direct output from X3 with an analogue cable until Line-In jacket in the rear panel from th PC, but the problem of Latency remains. Also couldn't record and listen to what I was playing. This also made me double listen to the guitar with delay, creating a huge reverb in the end, both really frustrating experiences. I made so many tries, got crazy with turning this and that off, putting this buffer on or turning off that audio option to avoid monitoring what I don't need. Is there any solution for this? Would I need an Audio Interface? I am very grateful if anybody could help me! Thank you very much, Kind Regards! Rene
