treewiz
I for the life of me cannot get any of my SD cards to be recognized by the M20D, what do I need to do? They are formatted to fat32.
silverhead
They also need to be high speed SD cards. Not sure exactly what that means in terms of data transfer rate, but check to see that your cards are advertised as high speed.
SiWatts69
Have you previously used an SD card in the unit successfully and recorded to it?
case67
Nearly 10 Commandments for SD Cards Thou shall ... - avoid fake cards and buy known brands from a reputable dealer in original sealed package - use class 10 labeled cards only - not trust in class 10 but measure the write perfomance on your own - verify the writability with multiple write test on the full capacity of the card - do not use micro SD with adapter - format often in the M20d or with SDFormatter4
treewiz
I have tried brand new SD cards 4gb from best buy, I was able to get one card (4gb) recorded with mp3 music to work for a gig break music. I had to convert the music to mp3, but I cannot record the band in the recording mode with any of the new cards, they are 32 fat formatted, not sure about the class 10 no where on the card does it say that and what is a high speed card? They are PNY premium cards.
silverhead
Here is a what Google tells me about the PNY Premuim cards: http://www.walmart.com/ip/PNY-2GB-Premium-Secure-Digital-Memory-Card/11078643 Note that it is a Class 4 card. You need a Class 10 like this: http://www.walmart.com/ip/PNY-16GB-SDHC-Card-Class-10/34313262?action=product_interest&action_type=title&placement_id=irs_bottom&strategy=SMT&visitor_id=29210023318&category=0%3A3944%3A133277%3A132913%3A63988&client_guid=f93e43d7-321f-48a1-ac12-b102bf30b967&config_id=0&parent_item_id=11078643&guid=9a3a6b66-b811-491c-94c6-5987decc3f37&bucket_id=irsbucketdefault&findingMethod=p13n Note the High Performance (aka high speed) designation.
