Gillespie1983
I use a buffer pedal (e.g., JHS Little Black Buffer) on my non-Variax pedal board to prevent high-frequency roll-off due to long cable runs. Does the XPS-AB provide this type of buffering?
phil_m
If you're talking about one of the original Variax guitars, I don't know how much difference a buffer would make anyway. They have low impedance outputs, so I would think that there would be less high-end roll off than with a traditional high impedance guitar output. That being said, I would be surprised in the XPS AB switch wasn't a buffered output pedal. It's an active circuit, not just a passive switch.
