Hi everybody,

I have a POD HD PRO X connected to an iMac with Yosemite. I´m using ProTools 11 too.

I´d like to decrease the volume of the speakers without modifying the volume of the headphones and i´m not able to do it.

Could anybody help me?

Do I need something else?

Thank you very much

headphone volume is controlled by the master volume knob on the unit.

So, if you want to keep the headphones the same, do not touch the master volume.

Turn down the speakers.

Turn down the volume control on your computer.

Turn down master volume of pro tools.

Do any of those sound plausible?

Get a little headphone pre-amp such as the FIIO E6 http://www.amazon.co.uk/FiiO-E06-Portable-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B005HJWWW8 (if you are using 1/8 sockets), not only does it include a volume control that allow you to run the POD at full but it also can solve impedance matching issues and improve the sound in the headphones.

thank you by the replies, but I dont know if I have explained my problem very well.

I have connected my monitors(Yamaha HS7) to the POD HD PRO X via XLR balanced output. I want to decrease the volume of the monitors and listen the sound in the headphones while recording my voice. In pro tools I decrease the master fader, and headphones and monitors volume are decreased. Is there an option in the POD HD PRO X to choose the volume for each output(monitors and headphones)? Do i need an extra monitor controller? thanks!!

Don't laugh...

I just bought an Esteban G-10. (its a long story, and why i bought it is not relevant)

It has a headphone jack.

I could see you running the headphones from the pod into the input of the amp.
So you could control the headphone volume separately
