Sonic Port - how to turn microphone off!

Hi

I'm recording guitar using Sonic Port and Mixcraft in Windows 8. In playback I can hear the guitar but also the background noise. It seems like the microphone is active even with input selection switched to 'Guitar In'.

Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem recording guitar input on windows using Acid Pro software. Mic level is turned all the way down; however, still picks up surrounding noise (tv, people talking, etc) in addition to the guitar.

What is the answer to this? Not too happy about this.

Here is how I could solve the problem with a little help from Line6-Support:

First you plug in Sonic Port to the Ipad, set Input on Guitar, plug in Guitar and then launch Mobile Pod. After that, start Garage Band. It worked well. No Mic was recording. And I could switch between mics and guitar in with no problems.

I had lag problems with Mobile Pod first. But when you do it in the order as mentioned above, no problems should occur. Hope that helps anyone with similar problems. Thank you Line6.

Cheers,

Peter
