So my question. Charlie_Watt Posted February 16, 2015 Share Posted February 16, 2015 They both do the same job but the black dongle does not seem to work all that well. The older one has been around since the early versions of Variax and it is pretty reliable. I have one of each and they both work for me. The Black dongle one came with my JTV 69S. The other one I got when I bought Workbench for my 500. I don't use either one now because it's much easier to connect with my Pod HD500x which also works as a USB interface to the Variax.
