M20D - Can't move input?

Recommended Posts

I have a setup that won't let me move an input.  It's input 14 that is being fickle and here are my clues:

I was previously using 13/14 for my ipod, but recently I purchased a proper cable and now use the Aux In.  I have since deleted the Line In objects.  I would now like to Move inputs 1/2/3 to 6/13/14.

Moving 1 to 6 works

If I move 2 to 13 works

I can't move 3 to 14!!

If I move 3 to 14

I can't move 2 to 13!!

I can move either anywhere else (that is empty).

On a New (clear) setup I can move anything anywhere.  No, I don't want to build this setup again.

I'm guessing it thinks there is still an ipod plugged in there.  But it isn't.

How can I clear it?

Thanks

Thanks, but I don't think that is the problem:

If I move 2 to 13 works

I can't move 3 to 14!!

If I move 3 to 14

I can't move 2 to 13!!

I can move either anywhere else (that is empty).

If it were a problem that they can only be 1-12, then I wouldn't be able to move them at all - Correct?

I tried your setup and what I found is that you have used a preset for input 3 that cannot ever be moved to 13-16 because it requires more DSP than is available on the line inputs.  That preset (kick drum) will only operate in 1-12.  The preset that you used for input 2 is one of those Arne mentioned in post #2 (AC gtr direct) and that one can be moved to any input.
