afberglund
I am wondering about the high pitch sound produced when using the supplied VDI cable. Is it because the wire is not shielded? It would be nice not to here that shrill sound when i plug it into my HD500.
thorneven
I always have my amp turned off when I connect the guitar via VDI or 1/4" cable. That procedure is standard for connecting to powered amp equipment so as not to cause pops, squeals or whatever that could potentially blow speakers and damage amp circuitry. afberglund
This is a continuous thing while the VDI Cable is plugged in. Unplug it and it goes away.
silverhead
Try a different VDI cable (or temporarily, and carefully, use a standard Ethernet/network cable). Try using the 1/4" output of the JTV (I presume that's what you are connecting via VDI). In either case, does the problem persist?
