Can I plug into a pickup booster first?

I have a Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster Pedal which I would like to plug my guitar into first and then run that into the guitar input of my POD X3.

I just wanted to ask if this is safe, I don't want to fry an input due to a too strong signal coming into it.

I wouldn't be boosting it all that much anyway.

Safe to do?

You won't fry anything but if the input is to much on the A/D converter you could end up with digitial distortion which doesn't sound good.   If you get too much distortion on the A/D converter you might try putting in the effects loop, assuming you not using it for something else already.
