JC-Tonequest
I'm concerned with the design of the expression pedal on the Helix. I realize it's thick aluminum but it only has one side hinge. This seems like it would make it prone to mechanical issues with canna levering. Digital_Igloo or Phil_M have any input on this?
phil_m
The pedal is 5/16" or so extruded aluminum. It's not going to bend.
JC-Tonequest
Phil I realize the pedal wont bend. I was more concerned about the hinge itself. Usually a pedal has one on each side.

chuberto
If Cannondale can build expensive beauties such as this and depend on a single sided front axle not to fail when travelling downhill at speed, I think you can rely on a single sided expression pedal. JC-Tonequest
I understand that it can be designed to be rugged with one hinge. Just asking for some insight into the design and what kind of testing they may have done in regards to the expression pedal specifically.
