twpmeister
Of all the demos, walkthroughs and demonstrators I've ever come across, Pete Thorn never fails to blow me away with his in depth, knowledgeable and downright musical gear tests. If anyone can really show us what helix is capable of it would be this guy. Please, please, please line 6 speak to Peter about getting him to try out a Helix. No offence to line 6 demonstrators, your guys are great but this guy is in another league. All IMHO of course.
drew_tnbd
I'd rather ProGuitarShop and Ola Englund.
twpmeister
I'd rather ProGuitarShop and Ola Englund. Why not all of the above? All these guys make awesome demos in their own style and would be better than one demonstrator trying to show myriad styles outside of his/her own specialism. Pete Thorn is simply more to my taste than Englund or the like. Also unlike sweetwater or similar he would be a little less biased as he is not trying to sell you one, as he is not a retailer.

Akeron
Pete is a TGP user. Maybe asking there would succeed :)
DarrellM5
Keith Merrow and Glenn DeLaune would work for me.

Akeron
It seems Paul Hindmarsh is recording a demo using Helix, but only to test the sound of the Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickups. He says he has no plans of doing a real Helix demo. Strange! Regarding Pete Thorn, he's a user on The Gear Page forum. As I was saying before, maybe asking directly on that forum "could" lead to a demo by him... or not :)
Stormtrooper12
Get Helix to do a demo of the Helix :P https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pa6xumk3lSE
Galaden
Send a Helix to Tony Mackenzie, not just to guys who are flogging the product to fill their own pockets ala Chappers and the Captain .

Rewolf48
I thought that Paul Hindmarsh was a demonstrator through Line 6 UK; an organisation that no longer exists having been incorporated into Yamaha UK and subsequently "rationalised". There is certainly equipment appearing that is "Line 6 UK demonstration" on second hand sites. Maybe Paul Hindmarsh is no longer working as a demonstrator for LIne 6? Perhaps somebody from Line 6 could confirm this before we all pester the hell out of a bloke who has been made redundant?
Inerzia
Send a Helix to Tony Mackenzie, not just to guys who are flogging the product to fill their own pockets ala Chappers and the Captain . That guy, his playing, his reviews, his taste... I'll waste my time on something else, thanks.
Jose7822
True, not the best player. But I do like the fact that he goes in depth (read: inside) the gear he reviews.
Galaden
True, not the best player. But I do like the fact that he goes in depth (read: inside) the gear he reviews. Amen . . he isn't an employee of anyone ( that I know of) and he doesn't pull his punches if he thinks a piece of gear is junk. Yes, he's cranky, cantankerous and his reviews are rather long but for the most part they are worth the ride. I don't always agree with him but he does respond to questions quickly without the hyperbole of a salesman trying to make his commission . No, he's not some shredder infatuated with his speed which is fine by me as all that distortion hides a lot of defects. I'm not knocking the other guys who do demos but they never really seem to be blunt about gear if they don't like it, as if they are afraid the manufacturer won't send them anymore. Happy summer . . .
Akeron
Maybe Paul Hindmarsh is no longer working as a demonstrator for LIne 6? Perhaps somebody from Line 6 could confirm this before we all pester the hell out of a bloke who has been made redundant? He has uploaded a new video some days ago... with FireHawk! That "should" be a sign he is still with them. The weird part is, the recording sessions for the demo I was talking about started June 14 and that video is still not online! Line 6 said NO?
