I just submitted this to Ideascale please vote here http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Put-Master-volume-on-the-same-page-as-the-Drive-in-amp-model/788502-23508 if you agree.

I would like to see the "Master" volume on the same page as the "Drive" in the amp models.  Right now you have to page over every time you want to change the "Master" volume. This is akin to having to turn your amp around and adjust the back of your amp to set "Master" volume. It is the "Ch Vol" that should be set on the second page.  This is the option you tend to "set and forget" once. Changing the "Drive" to "Master" volume ratio is something you constantly tweak until you get the right balance, just like you would on a real amp. It makes no sense for the "Drive" and "Master" volume to be on separate pages.

i think it would be nice to include a mute function for a particular path -- so if you are editing a 2 cabinet preset you can edit each individually and then combine the two -- currently the only way to do this is to lower the volume significantly on each one but maybe a fast button or joystick press would allow for this.

Assign the parameter 'route to' of an A/B split to a switch with a min value of B 100 and a max value of A 100. You could also use the expression pedal for this if you want a smoother transition between the two cabs.

Automatic Bank Scrolling

If anyone, besides me, would find this a useful feature, please vote!  I'm referring to continually pressing either the bank up or down buttons and have the banks scroll automatically instead of having to click the buttons for each up or down movement through the banks.  I describe in my IdeaScale post why I think this is very important as I've had foot switches in past POD's go bad after playing many gigs on them.  Thanks for reading!

Has a digital clipping meter been added to ideascale yet? If not I would like to add it. That way we have a better idea of available headroom and can avoid unnecessary nasty distal distortion.

Keep output level during dual cab model selection

Allow user to set Dual Cab levels to low value and then audition other cab.  Currently FW 1.02.2 resets cab Output to 0dB as soon as you 'dial to audition' a cab.  Can't audition other cab at low or desired mix level....

Just added an idea for adding tap tempo to other effects that don't currently implement it including univibe.

Added:

http://Helix block movement UI improvement (add CUT)

Add 'CUT' to block manipulation so you can just CUT the block and move (say from Path 1 to Path 2) and then PASTE it. (Old location is gone)

Currently, you must COPY, exit, move to new path, open and PASTE, then return to old duplicate location and ERASE old block)..

Helix Preset wheel: press 1 second to focus the Setlists

http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Helix-Preset-wheel-press-1-sec-to-focus-the-Setlists/789893-23508?submitted=1

(If You press the Preset button, You can jump from the Setlist to the presets or choose a preset.
To jump back to the Setlists you have to use the Joystick.
Better workflow:
Jump back by pressing the Preset wheel a bit longer.)

Hi line6 staff.
I was searching for the scene-mode submission to check the status and was not able to find it.
Then I've discovered that it is not categorized under "Helix" but under a more generic "effect/processors" category.
Can the category be reassigned to "Helix" in order to make it more visible for the users who browse throgh the idea scale Helix threads?

Thankyou so much!

Add 'double press' to select and open preset from BANK select

When in Bank/preset select mode (Bank Up/Dn and 8 presets), allow for user to press any of the 8 presets with a 'double press' to then open the preset (like then pressing the MODE button).

This would allow a faster move to expose the presets' stomp boxes and features... (i.e. avoids the need to move foot to MODE button).

Enhance labeling function on scribble strip above expression pedal. It would be great to have it be either able to toggle between say "VOL" and "WAH" as well as retain and enhance the current functionality such that the toeswitch setting could be indicated by highlighting "VOL" or "WAH".

Vote for it here:

Allow "CV" output to double as a 2nd "Ext Amp" controller.

There is only one "Ext Amp" controller output on the Helix right now. Many modern and even older amps require at least a couple of "Ext Amp" controller outputs to take full advantage of the channel switching and features available on the amp.

Don't know how the "CV" output is wired, but if it is possible it would be nice if there was a way to modify the firmware settings to allow the current "CV" output to double as a second "Ext Amp 2 " controller. Both external controllers should allow flexible firmware switching of stereo plugs to accommodate as many amps as possible. I think the number of people who have a "CV" requirement will be far less than those who would like to have a second controller output for their amp.

Vote for it here:

Toggle expression pedal with alternate switch, as opposed to toe switch

It would be great to be able to select which expression pedal is active with an alternate switch, as opposed to the toe switch. Going toe down to switch is not always convenient.

Highly customizable tremolo similar to EH Super Pulsar

A trem with selectable waveform, envelope following, rhythmic patterns and of course tap tempo and rate subdivisions.

As stated in the title my favorite in the field so far is the EH super pulsar .

Helix rocks!

Assign footswitch to scroll up and down note values when controlling effects with tap tempo

http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Assign-footswitch-to-scroll-up-and-down-note-values-when-tap-tem/790105-23508?submitted=1

Its great that the opto trem now got Tap tempo. The next step, is to be able to assign a footswitch to incrementally go through different note values.

For example:

starting and 1/4 note

1 stomp leads you into dotted 1/4

2 stomps leads you into 8th note subdivisions

3 stomps leds you into dotted 8ths and so forth

The ability to assign another footswitch to cycle back through subdivisions would be also required.

This can currently be done via the expression pedal but this is not very precise.

You can sort of do this now by using pedal edit mode, then using switches 10 and 11.

Indeed you can duncann, good call, I am just looking for something more immediate, right on the "main board" i do lots of switching of the sorts live and it would be helpful.

I miss this one as well. The 3 osc synth might be able to get something similar in the meantime, possibly in combination with some other effect. I haven't really messed with it too much yet.

Didn't manage to do that. If someone got tips...

Allow swap of footswitch assignments from top row to bottom row and vice versa.

Create a setting in global settings to swap all of the footswitch assignments from the top row to the bottom row and vice versa.

Right now all of the Line6 factory presets are set for the pedals to show up on the bottom row. That creates a big problem if you are a player who likes to use the bottom row for presets and have your pedals on the top row. It means you have to go and reassign all the pedals on all of the factory presets one by one and swap them from the bottom row to the top. The Helix has the great feature of allowing the user to decide whether they want to split pedal/presets on either the top or bottom row. It is a shame to see this functionality crippled by not allowing the factory presets to conform to the users choice without hours (days) spend on manually reassigning every footswitch assignment in the factory presets.

You can vote for it here:
