jak_E_lee
Easiest way to cure these? could I get away with removing the knobs and forcing contact cleaner down past the pot spindle. is it a big job to get at these pots to give them a good spray with contact cleaners? Stormtrooper12
I think what you said will work fine. If you want to get really serious you could buy this nifty little tool, and a can of Deoxit DS5 http://www.stewmac.com/Luthier_Tools/Tools_by_Job/Maintenance/Pot_Cleaning_Cap.html
jak_E_lee
I had thought of a similar idea and get a little rubber pipe the same diameter as the spindle threads and let the cleaner feed itself in. I do however have a bike cable oiler that works the same principle as the little gizmo in your link so wortha try
