IndigoNights
Hello, I'm having a bit of trouble with my Line 6 UX2 after the upgrade to Windows 10. I have already looked around on the forums here before, and I fixed my sound that way, by changing playback of the UX2 to 16bit. However, I tried the same with the Line 6 UX2 recording driver, without much success. http://puu.sh/jnG8y/3a2c7f898f.png When I use my micrphone which is connected to the UX2 (Behinger C-1), I do pick up sound in Podfarm 2, but not in Windows itself. Because of this I cannot use my microphone for programs such as Skype, or games in general. Is there any way to deal with this problem, or will I have to sit it out and wait for a driver update? Triryche
Is there a setting in Windows 10 that says something like "Listen to this device"?
IndigoNights
Is there a setting in Windows 10 that says something like "Listen to this device"? Yes there is, however I do not hear anything through this option either, nor do any of the green volume indicators go up in the menu when I try to speak in my microphone. Triryche
There is a Windows 10 thread in the Lounge where some users over came some issues. Not sure if it applies to your situation. But technically there are no Windows 10 drivers out yet.
s85374
I got the same problem too, and the solution of the Windows 10 thread in the Lounge works only with "speaker device". Is there any setting in win 10 or I should wait for the upgrade of the driver? thanks.
gmackie
Hi, On this topic of the UX2 audio interface issues with Windows 10, can anyone from Line 6 give us some idea of when the updated drivers will become available? I opened a support ticket but simply got a vague response which went along with the lines of the upadte is being worked on and we couldn't do anything until Window 10 was released, which I find absolutely bizzare. For a company the size of Line 6/Yamaha not to be able to get hold of a developer's version of Windows 10 when it has a lot of products that rely on connectivity with a computer is pretty poor. I suspect that I am not the only one still having issues getting the UX2 interace to work with Windows despite the excellent and much appreciated suggestons from members. With that in mind is it too unreasonable for someone from Line 6 to post a brief response to this post and give some guidance as to what is going on? There are a lot of us who are long standing CUSTOMERS of Line 6 and deserve to be treated a bit better and communicated with. I kind of don't care if Line 6 say it will take, for the sake of argument, 2 months for new drivers to be tested and made available. I know where I stand and I can make alternative plans and would think seriously about whether to buy a Line 6 product going forward that depends on computer connectivity, which would be a shame but that is how it is. I know from reading comments in the Forums that people have had issues with support etc. at Line 6. I am very happy to say that I have had no problem in the past and always had great answers delivered in a speedy manner. This time round I suspect they have been caught napping and don't know how to respond. Let me tell you, silence does not help your customers now or in their puchasing decisions going forward. I will finish this by saying that if I have missed a post or comment by Line 6 that has addressed some of these issues I will be vey happy to apologise. All the best GM
s85374
I find the solution from ExUnforgiv3n really can work 1.Remove the device. 2.Unplug Device from USB. 3.Replug device into the same USB. 4.Open Podfarm 2. 5.Check Microsoft sound tab for green bars. 6.No green bars? Repeat Steps 1-5 over and over and over and over and over again and you will get it to work randomly at around 40+ (my try is around 10) attempts. No kidding, but sometime reboot computer will make it back again. If you really need to record something, this might help.
