Palico
When and played at a Jam tonight. At these we get a bunch of musicians from local bands and just get together and play random covers, maybe some of the band originals etc.... over all a good time just for fun, just bring a guitar and use the host's rig. So I haven't been in a long time. The host guitarist, really great guy, plays a Marshall Half Stack (I think it's one of the non-tube Marshalls) and Gibson Les Paul. I hook in my variax and go. Second I hit two notes, I was wishing for my DT. Just lacks the luster and vibe. Yep I'm spoiled.

Palico
I've yet to meet the solid state guitar amp (obviously not talking about modelers) that sounded good. +1. The funny thing with his amp is it a nice ring and smoothness sound using his Les Paul. On the Variax Mags it was kind of bright. Really good note definition but just no trail and really dry sounding. I probably should have used LP model on my Variax but was running low on battery as was concerned making sure I had enough for a song or 2 where i use the alternate tuning capability of the Variax.
