PODHD 500x Stereo Out vs Headphone

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this has been discussed in previous threads, but I can't recreate the spacious of listening directly to my tone from the headphone out. I have my pod set to Studio Direct Out, the board itself is set to line and not amp, and my 1/4' cables work great. Despite that I'm not hearing depth in my delays or movement in my reverbs. I also don't have any mono summing effects in my chain. I do have two h9's in my effects loop and pursued this setup with stereo effects in mind. Am I missing something basic?

What are you connected to? A mixer? If so, are the channels on the mixer panned correctly?

Thats the first thing i would check also.  Failing that I would run a stereo Y from the headphone out to the mixer.

Assuming you are using stereo headphones direct from the pod...

Did you check the mixer settings?

I mean the mixer within the patch, not the external mixing board.

You can find left/right and volumes there.

I don't use the fx loop, so I don't know how it works. But I wonder if where you have the fx loop positioned in the chain may have a mono-summing result?

Thanks for the responses. I've been running direct into my interface. I'll try these out tonight! I haven't had access to a pa, I'll report back.
