Quadzilla4425
Hello: Ok here is what I have: Line 6 Pod XT Live and a Dual Rectifier Mesa Boogie head and a 4x12 Marshall cab. It was suggested I use the 4 cable method to accomplish what I want and . . . I'm a bit confused so I just want to make sure 1. it can be done as I don't think the XT offers what I need. I'd like to use my XT Live JUST as an effects box. So no coloring of the sound using any of the built in amps or cabs that come with the unit itself. Thus allowing every stomp box to be assigned to a different effect. So if I were to use the 4 cable method on the XT Live how would I set it up as I don't have a return on the unit itself or am I totally missing something here? Any suggestions would be helpful. BillBee
The XT Live doesn't have an FX loop so you really can't do a 4cm IIRC. I've always used it only with a power amp myself BUT in theory: Guitar->AMP Input->AMP FX Out->XTL Input->(goes through the XTL's FX) then XTL Out->AMP FX in............. Careful with the signal levels and volumes. This should let you use only the FX. Hope that works. B
