We have 2 new powered cabs, the FR10 and FR12 designed especially to pair up with the Helix, Full Range, Flat Response (FRFR) and seriously lightweight ... 9.7kg/21 lbs for the FR10? We've also been playing the Helix through our powerhouse FR212 cab, and it shakes the room ... If you have been looking for a lightweight, powered, FRFR cab to go with your Helix, come and have a look, or even if you just want a play with a Helix through some kickass 2x12's we'll be happy to see you. Digital_Igloo 1,107 Posted October 4, 2015 Indeed, Helix sounds fantastic downstairs in the Matrix booth, and the weight of the speakers is jaw-droppingly light. Not "jaw-dropping" like how some people throw that insipid "game changer" term around, where it's lost all meaning for eternity, but literally your jaw will drop when you pick up Matrix's stuff. lightninboy1969 0 Posted October 8, 2015 Hi guys, John here who was demo'ing at the show. We'll be looking at release for the FR10 and FR12s in probably a couple of months as we just need to do a couple of tweaks, namely in the DSP section. Specs wise, the FR10 measures wdh 20.5" x 12" x 12" (52cm x30x30) and the FR12 wdh 20.5" x 12 x 17.5 (52cm x30x45). Weight is just over 21lbs (9.7kg) for the FR10 and just under 29lbs (13kg) for the FR12. The power module in the rear of the amps is around 300w @ 8 ohms and uses passive cooling (no fans) so is quiet. It also features Neutrik combi inputs (XLR or 1/4") and an input link to send your input to a desk or such like. Price is yet to be finalised but we're aiming to be very competetive against other powered products in the market. Hope that helps a little.
