Hello

i just see that

Line 6 Variax Cabled Power Kit

 

maybe stupid questions but:

 

Do this kit powered my variax with the battery OUT, and can I enjoy all the sounds and tunings of the Variax all the time ?

just plug the  jack on guitar into the kit and from the kit to the Pod ? I don't understand how this kit powerup the variax? With the jack?

Yes,... the cable is a TRS, not TS. There should be something about

this in the manual and the Line 6 Knowledge Base.

 

TRS = Tip/Ring/Sleeve, where one is for the signal, the other is for the DC supply

and the sleeve is the common.

 

There should be directions with it on how to connect it.

Help !!!

 

I have two Line 6 Variax Cabled Power Kit   boxes both have failed the red power light is on some time then fails.

 

No output volts found at TSR  jack or XLR. Anybody got repair knowledge of this board.

 

The circuit board is littered with micro components and chips.

 

I don´t have a clue how to repair it.

No signs of damage or burnt out components, just aged ? Maybe the capacitors are now old circuit seem to be made 2003/4 came from a 2006 Variax 700 acoustic purchased in UK auction.

 

Sure it was working when it arrived but now just a door stop,

 

Can anybody supply repair info or circuit diagram so my computer shop and take a look at it.
