Global Speaker simulation off?

Recommended Posts

POD X3 had a very nice feature missing in Helix:

You could select the global output so POD would decide if it would add the speaker simulation or not .

How is that done in the Helix?

You could just not have a speaker cab in the preset...... done no more cab. I know this is not global but the Helix is so easy to edit it is literally one button to bypass and then click save twice.

Not when you have 30 something presets for a GIG : - 9 Thats around 120 cursor clicks, 30 somoething next preset clicks and 30 somthing by pass button clicks.... per gig X.- ) )

Or two setlists created in advance - one a restored copy of the other where you have disabled the cabs on one of the setlists.

Is it likely that you may need to tweak the amp tone knobs as well when using a different speaker anyway?

This is an extremely useful feature that is perhaps wanted by a lot of users including myself. I really hope Line6 add the global option to disable cab simulation for any selected output channel.

Add an entry to IdeaScale, I'll vote for it :)

I am new to Ideascale thing, but I would love to. Didn't guix already make one? But it seems to be just global cab on/off; What I want is to be able to turn on/off Cab sim globally for selected channels. For example, cab OFF for 1/4'' output channels (to my amp), but ON for the XLRs (to the board). Guix, if you like this feature, can you change your description to specify this? Then I will vote for it. If not, I will make a separate one.
