salmanhkr 0 Posted November 8, 2015 Hello everyone, Is it possible to record bass guitar as midi in logic pro x? Thanks in advance for your advice ;)
TheDaveDaveDave 42 Posted November 8, 2015 Yep - not hard at all: http://bfy.tw/2gyB;) The explains it well: https://ask.audio/articles/understanding-audiotomidi-in-logic-pro-x Bear in mind that to do live audio to midi, you'll need some hardware, like a Roland GI-20 and a bass pickup, but Logic does pretty well at processing it. Hope this helps!

Hope this helps! Thank you for answering, but it was not what I meant! :D Of course logic convert audio to midi and it's not that good, What I meant was something like Boss GT-001! You play your bass guitar and its recording midi! you can even use it as a midi controller for some VST instrument!

ozbadman 863 Posted November 9, 2015 Hello everyone, Is it possible to record bass guitar as midi in logic pro x? Thanks in advance for your advice ;) HELIX cannot do note to MIDI conversion. If you don't want to do it in your PC, you need to do as suggested above with a bass pickup and something like a Roland processor.
