Can I Utilize A Usb 3 Cable For My Pod X3?

So I've been wondering. I heard that the USB 3 technology has 10 times faster transfer rates than USB 2. And I can't help but wonder, is it possible that if I buy a USB 3 cable (can it be hooked on the POD x3?), and then connect my POD with the PC on a USB 3 port, do I get even shorter latency? Or is this not possible at all?

I only have one USB 3.0 device, and it has a different connector at the device end.  You might want to give it a try with a normal USB 2.0 cable.  Let us know if it works for you.

Thank you guys. Hmm, what do you mean try with a normal USB 2.0 cable? You mean I should try plugging my POD x3 with a usb 2.0 cable onto the USB 3.0 port of my computer? TheRealZap said there aren't any benefits in doing this and there's even been opposite results so I'd rather not, if that's what you meant.

Yes, use a USB 2.0 cable to plug in to a USB 3.0 port.

As Zap suggested, I would continue to use USB 2.0 ports if they are available, but you cant hurt anything by trying the USB 3.0 ports.  I'm just not sure that you will get satisfactory results.

With newer computers, USB 2.0 ports are becoming scarce real estate.  I have tried out different devices on my 3.0 ports to try to free up the 2.0's.  Sometimes they work fine, and sometimes they are dodgy.

I can verify that plugging a 2.0 cable into a 3.0 usb port is a latency horror. I tested by using the Jamkazam software which measures your latency and my latency was almost twice that of the usb 2.0 port. As it is, even in the 2.0 port the Pod X3 has to much latency to use with Jamkazam.
