dhewer
Hello POD 500X users. Might seem dumb but when I create a tone I started off with no amp. The first block was DIST: Tube Drive. And poof, I have a tone. Even though no amp is set yet. Guitar volume is about 2...but when increased to 10, the volume goes up and more drive. Why? I don't know how it all works together. I try and create from what little i know and how it sounds - to me. Can any one enlightened me.... Thanks dH
pfsmith0
An amp does not need to be present to get a signal out. None of the FX blocks need to be present either. These are just tone shaping processes. An empty FX or amp block just passes the signal along without any processing.
Dutchguitarist
As said, there is always a signal going to the chain. I use the "no amp" option regulary for acoustic patches where I do not want an amp to color the sound
