aezakmipl
Hi!When I play on the amplifier, it sounds good. When I have headphones (studio headphones 668B) it have a lot of fuzz. It's the same when I record in Reaper, or other DAW.On YT people are recording by USB and it sounds naturally, and good... And for me it farts a lot. Unnatural and scary. cruisinon2
Patches created through a traditional guitar amp will never sound the same through headphones, FRFR studio monitors, PA speakers, etc...often they will sound drastically different. The frequency response of a guitar amp is VERY different (much narrower) from other output modes/devices. You need to create patches for use with the type of equipment you're listening through. No way around it.

silverhead
When recording over USB make sure the Output Mode on your HD500X is set to Studio/Direct. You should also include a cab/mic combination in the preset, something you don't always do if you usually output to an amp.
pianoguyy
You've got 5 posts... 3 of them are here in this thread. Did you just buy your HD500x, or is this your first post because you are having issues?
aezakmipl
I've bought HD500x a year ago. Output Mode is set to Studio/Direct, cab/mic is ON.

There are too many variables to expect a patch created by someone else, with a different amp, different guitar,etc...to sound the same for you. You have to learn to create patches yourself...you can waste days or weeks downloading 1000's of patches, and find nothing useful. Start from scratch and build the tones you want. There's no other way to do it.
aezakmipl
Thanks for all, but I am making my patches. But it sounds BAD, even Marshall Plexi without overdrive...
silverhead
Make sure your DAW (e.g. Reaper) is configured to use the HD500X and its ASIO driver as the audio input/output device.
aezakmipl
I will try make hard-reset, maybe it will helps.
pianoguyy
I've bought HD500x a year ago. Output Mode is set to Studio/Direct, cab/mic is ON. Sorry, I had to ask. There are settings (outside of a patch) that a new owner may not know about. They make a huge difference in what the device sounds like.
aezakmipl
Okay boys. After hard-reset everything works. Thanks for help, you're amazing.
FlyingSquirrel
I have banks of live presets, and I have banks of studio presets. They're very similar, with the distinction that the live ones are final tweaked with the amp. The studio ones are all tweaked against backing tracks, even if the basic preset was originally downloaded from Custom Tone. Custom Tone is not going to provide the perfect preset for everyone, too many things are subjective, with the top one being the user's preferences. It's a starting point, no more. You'll still have to tweak to taste. Your bass players tone, and the tone of your drummer will be different than mine, and each of us have to make all of them work in the context of a band mix.
shredjsx
I've had no problem direct recording... Love all of my line 6 stuff for that, but I do recommend reference monitors over headphones
