Setting Up A Loop Effect

Hey guys.  I've got a question.  How am I able to set up a loop effect with my Pod X3 Live?  To where I can start and stop a certain loop which I can either pre-record and save for a patch, or record it live when using the patch.   Or should I just buy a separate delay pedal to run loops?  And if so, any recommendations?

Any help is appreciated.

The X3L doesn't have looping capabilities itself. So if you're wanting to get a looping pedal, you could choose to put it a few places in the chain - in front, in the effects loop, or at the end. It really depends on how you want to use it.
