I've been using my favorite HD500 patches on the HD500x without any problem.  With the added DSP I've been able to make some additions to them. I like the new footswtches and lighting around them.

I'm happy enough with my POD HD500 that soon I will get a second one.
It will be the new HD500x.  I will want to transfer presets(tones) between the two.

I understand DSP Limitation of the HD500 compared to the HD500X.
My question is will there be any issue having both edit software versions on the same computer, as well as drivers for both POD units?

No issue - you can have several different Pod HDxxx Edit programs installed, and even running, at the same time. Only one of them can communicate with a connected HD device, though. That one is determined by the device that is connected.

Dear whom it may concern,
I bought pod hd500x yesterday as new one.
In the set lists in the manual, there are 'best of hd, fx heavy, song/style, dual tones' and the rest of 4 say user 1,2,3,4.

My product in the set lists shows
best of hd, fx heavy, song/style, bass/aco/voc

L6Link < > DT
.

Could you explain why it is different from the manual?

How can I change the set lists as indicated in the manual.

It would be really appreciated if you would get back to me as soon as possible.

Thank you in advance.

I believe the manual has some old information that pertained to a previous firmware version of the HD500. The setlists that came loaded on your HD500X are correct. You're not missing anything. If you want to use some of those setlists for your own patches, you can overwrite what's there and rename the setlists.
