AMPLIFi Usb Recording Ticks and cracks

i have recently connected my AMPLIFi to my desktop compluter trying to record i run into this problem. when i record there is always ticks and cracks in the recording. i tried everything with the bitrate and the buffer size. i use audacity and Magix Music maker to record and both run into the same problem is there any way i can get out of this ticking problem?

Try a DAW that supports ASIO natively.

You can try Reaper for free to see if it corrects your issue by selecting the Line6 ASIO driver as your device within Reaper.

 

Audacity does not install with ASIO support, you have to compile it to do so, not sure about the specs on Magix.

I use audacity and my Amplifi 150, and it works like a champ.

 

It sounds as if you have other problems, since you say that Magix Music and Audacity have the same problem.  You mean, right, that you are NOT using the amp, but just those 2 programs?  Then you have a computer problem, it sounds like.

I'm assuming you installed the drivers for the AMPLIFi and are running the current firmware.

You could try a different USB cable and different ports.

 

What is your OS?

 

Can you upload a sample?

You  wouldn't think a damned piece of wire could make a difference.  You probably had a bad solder joint at one end or the other, or a crimped connection gone bad...
