I tested it with Midi Memo Recorder and Garage Band. I think the other adapter http://www.apple.com/de/shop/product/MD824ZM/A/lightning-auf-30-polig-adapter-02-m?fnode=97&fs=f%3Dadapter-cable%26fh%3D458e%252B45b0%252B45c4 is better, because you have enough space for your headphone.
