Indianrock2020
The VDI connection to POD is awesome but I haven't had a chance to try it on a stage yet. What has been your experience where there could be cell phones or odd lighting around?
clay-man
Pretty sure you'll get 0 interference. The signal is strictly digital, so there is no analog interference that you could get from a normal cable, and I'm pretty sure the VDI cable is shielded inside. Rewolf48
Never had any interference problems or noise while using Models and VDI. You might get some noise (typically hum) when using the magnetic pick-ups simply because they pick up electromagnetic noise, but the digital only route is silent except perhaps for a little hiss if you have a lot of gain in the simulated amp. Charlie_Watt
You won't get interference from the VDI but you might get some in the analog chain after the pod. But if you are not getting any now, then you should be fine with the VDI and the Variax. One great thing about the Variax is that the Piezo's get little to no interference from noise sources where as Mag pickups often get lots of it.
