sschone
I was about to buy a Pocket POD or POD 2.0 but want to first be sure they work with Garageband on an iPad. I currently plug directly in using an Apogee Jam 96k interface. I'm not very tech savvy and just want to get better effects than what comes with Garageband, without using an amp. If POD is not ideal for this, what other Line 6 products are. Thanks!

Heyo! just throwing it out there that the Pocket POD is the worst of the POD line compared to features, 2.0 is the way to go for Kidney Beans. My HD500x works with my iPad through the Jam, so the older pods should too, as long as connected with the Jam 96k; I use it and it's neat! However if it's a money thing, why not go with BIAS FX and Pedal? They work wonders with garage band and are Hella Cheaper if it's a Money and Mobility issue. Though Pod 2.0 is a favourite of mine :D You said you just want effects right? BIAS fx,amp, and Pedal sound better for you I believe on sale they're normally $6 off sale $19 but that's still WAY cheaper than the POD line at about $300-500.
