mykejb
I know there's never any official "we're implementing this" comments from Line6, but does anyone have any hints ir inside information as to whether buying a MIDI clock pedal is likely to be a waste of money? I want to sync various effects (Beat Buddy, Infinity looper, H9 etc) using MIDI clock but obviously what I don't want to do is spend a bunch of cash then find out 2.0.x finally implements MIDI clock which would mean it wouldn't be needed. tommasoferrarese
H9 and Infinity Looper can send MIDI clock, so the big question is whether Line6 is planning to implement at least slave mode, mainly to have modulation and reverse delay synced to the band or the sequences.. mykejb
Slave mode isn't really practical - the stomps have to take the clock from the Helix as the Helix is sending program changes and MIDI CC. If the Helix was only a slave I'd have to have an external clock pedal running into it which is what I don't really want to do.
tommasoferrarese
I remember using the H9 as first and last in a MIDI loop.. It was like H9->ES8->Timeline->BigSky->H9 Just remember to deactivate H9's midi through and to make it clock source.. It won't solve Helix sync but it's worth a try.. mykejb
Problem there is that I have a Pigtronix Infinity as the last unit in the chain and it doesn't have MIDI out. I did look at this http://www.moltenvoltage.com/products/TEMPODE_by_PedalSync_-_PedalBoard_MIDI_Clock_Injector_by_Molten_Voltage.html but if MIDI clock is coming along it'd be redundant.
