benifin 12 Posted July 27, 2016 Hi all I have an old [ but perfect working order ] Line 6 FBV Shortboard MK2. Just wonder, if I were to grab a Helix Rack:- => would the Helix Rack fully " recognize" and "communicate" with the Line 6 FBV Shortboard MK2 ? and if so => can it be configured to do the basics such as direct patch / preset selection ..... direct snapshot selection ..... IA / CC on/off selection ...... bi-directional Tuner display ? Thanks, Ben
PeterHamm 651 Posted July 27, 2016 No.Control is the only reasonable option for Helix rack.

I honestly wouldn't recommend using the rack without it. I gig with mine pretty frequently and being able to glance at the pedal board and immediately know what to hit is something I didn't think I would ever use, but has become somewhat of a necessity with all the lights and what nots in my eyes hahaha. Not to mention you can edit on the fly with the controller.....hope this helps.
