harvardcaveman
Hey all. I am researching the Amplifi Series of amps. I have played a 150 and 75 and love the sound. But I love the portability and size of the 30. I have not had a chance to play this model yet. Can folks tell me about the sound quality? Does it have a tiny/small sound or is it full like the 75 and 150. I am not looking to blow the neighbors out with volume...just want a full tone! Thanks! Tcamponovo
The Amplifi 30 is actually my favorite of all the Amplifi models. Super portable and great sounding. Especially the clean sound of the JC120. I like to add some cave reverb and simple delay and occasionally the screamer distorion. Having something that small that sounds that good AND has the ability to stream music via bluetooth makes it the ideal practice/travel amp. Great for shedding tunes in a hotel room. I like a sound that has a lot of midrange and this amp seems to excel in those kinds of frequencies. I recommend the 30 over the larger models. It'll get plenty of volume considering it's size. mars_bar
I just bought an Amplifi 30 yesterday, I'm a current owner of the Yamaha THR 5 and THR 10 and the Amplifi 30 sounds absolutely amazing. As advertised - it sounds just like a sound system.
Matt_Brown
Ive used mine for band practice (without drums) and really love the sounds. I took mine on holiday and as well as practicing guitar I showed films on a laptop with a projector and sheet as a screen. The 30 was the 'sound system' for that and I was amazed how well it handled e.g explosions. It was like being at the cinema!
