Adrian_Thomas
Hi there I'm interesting in acquiring a Firehawk FX but had a bad experience with the quality of the foot switches on my HD 500. As I understand it, the HD 500X addressed the quality of the foot switches. Does anyone have insight / comments to make regarding the foot switches and general robustness of the Firehawk FX unit please? Many thanks
c00lkatz
I'm 280lbs and stepped on the Firehawk foot switches every day for 6 months before I got rid of it...does that count as durable? Lol
Tcamponovo
Firehawk in relatively durable. Mine has been checked and flown all over the country and I've done multiple clinics with it. It's probably been abused more than most and it's still doing fine so far. Footswitches can always break down on you over extended rough use, but it's not hard to replace one. Just try not to drop it on concrete!
phil_m
The switches on the Firehawk are the same as the HD500X.
jkuche
One or two of my foot switches take more than one tap to switch , which is frustrating trying to tap on a lead boost . - I wonder if that is a software issue (but I doubt that) . Before I go further with trying to remedy , a few questions is it really easy to replace a foot switch ? any diagnostic suggestions ? anybody else have to tap more than once ? ty
RNeves
They are relatively durable, although my bank up switch started acting weird after a few months use, sometimes I have to press it more than once and it sometimes skips two or three banks at once some times. A few weeks ago my FS1 switch also started acting up sometimes I press it and it doesn't work.
