Hello Troy,

One certain point is that you can only use WAV files. MP3 aren't supported.

If you want more informations, take a look at the JM4 avances guide wich is only about SD issues.

For the firmware, I dont know but if you can't import WAV files maybe you have to upgrade....

16-Bit Mono 44.1KHz .wav files are the type file supported.

You can always convert the MP3 into a WAV file format or vice versa.

Hello,

Finally Trying this again. I converted the backing track to a .WAV  but when I go to load the WAV file from the card I get a message that says Wav File must be 16 bits 44110 HZ Mono, I am attaching my the specs regarding my file, Any thoughts would be appreciated. Also does anyone have some go to WAV files that work with the JM4 in other words some good cover tune backing tracks?

Thanks

Troy

I just bought a used JM4. Still learning. Perhaps a solution to the MP3 issue

is to plug your mp3 play into the mp3 in on the JM4, record the song or a portion

of the song using the JM4 record function, then save that recording to the SD

card. I assume it would save it as a .WAV file format. Now you could load that

song, add overdubs etc.

Also note: the newer iPhones did away with the 3.5mm plug in. You'll have to

purchase an audio adapter that has 3.5mm male adapter on one end and the

iOS lightening adapter. About $6.
