lycralad
Hi, I recently bought a secondhand helix and have tried getting the editor on my Windows 10 laptop with no success...'helix not found'. The chap I bought it off had updated the software on the helix to the latest firmware. 2.01.0 Is the device locked to his computer as he will have updated from the pre installed firmware which came on the new unit. In its current up to date state...how do I get the editor onto my laptop and the helix to work with it??? Many thanks
Rocco_Crocco
Just brainstorming, but when I first connected the Helix to my laptop, I connected it to a multi-port USB hub and Windows could not detect the Helix. I had to bypass the hub and plug the Helix straight into the computer. No worries after that.
gunpointmetal
Mine doesn't show up on the USB 3.0 ports, but only sometimes.... Just spit-balling here.
nippyjun
It's not locked to one computer. Try different usb ports, a different cable, or a different computer.
JonnyPM
My Helix application will not find the Helix if the Updater is still open. Once I close the updater and restart the Application, all is fine. HTH.

If it is indeed 2.01.0 you will want to make sure you do an uninstall of any Helix software on your computer and then go to the Line6 Downloads page and download the exact version to the computer of the the Helix application that is showing on the Helix. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE LATEST VERSION, download the matching version. Install the Helix app which will automatically install the matching version of the Editor, Updater, and drivers for your Helix version. Assuming you don't have any other issues with your USB connection or laptop you should now be able to communicate properly with the Helix.
