ickyjim
I've been a casual user of Line 6 gear over the years (pod, bass pod, misc pedals). I'm about to buy a Pod xt Pro with the bass expansion model pack already installed, along with the triple pack. My question is, will I have a problem using a bass that has an onboard active preamp (Yamaha BBG4S II) with this unit? Reason I ask is because when I use this bass with my Rocktron Blue Thunder bass preamp, the bypass feature on the blue thunder randomly cuts on & off while I'm playing. skybone
There should be no problem running an active through the XT Pro, as there is an "Input Level" switch next to the Input. There are 2 settings, "Normal" for passive guitars/basses & "Pad" for active guitars/basses.
ickyjim
Excellent, thanks for the tip. Hoping this XT Pro will replace my Rocktron guitar and bass preamps for recording basic demos at home.
skybone
Pretty sure it will. I've owned a bean xt for years (it has the old Line6 logo), and that was always my "go to" at home, but it's now been (bean?) "retired" in favour of a HD500x. The HD's used not just at home too.
