CPU usage

There is no explicit indicator of how much DSP (CPU) is being utilized at any time. However, the device will not permit usage beyond its limit. As you approach the DSP limit certain options and selections are greyed out and unavailable because their selection would exceed the limit.

 

Note that Helix has two identical DSP processors, one dedicated to each signal path. If you approach the limits in Path 1 (A and B ) you can route the signal chain so that it begins to utilize the Path 2 DSP processor.

Thanks for the info,that explains a lot,was wondering why they were greyed.

My understanding is that the upper path also runs the overall operating system, so there's more juice available for sounds in the lower one. I wouldn't worry about it unless you're actually not able to do something you want to do, in which case you might as well try shifting some stuff to the bottom path.
