tjbrosch71
Hey, any help appreciated: Just got my HD147, not sure of the process on how to download custom tones from my computer to the amp head. I am able to download the tone to the laptop, but not sure how to get it to the amp head afterwards.
BillBee
Hey Dude, I don't have the HD147 (unless you were the guy that nabbed it off Reverb before me) :) You need a midi/usb cable. Use the M-Audio Uno. It works with L6 Gear reliably. You will have to pop into the DL area (up top Support link) and get the editor L6Edit is probably it. With all that you should be good to go. M-Audio Uno -> don't use the cheap Chinese $2 special. -B

tjbrosch71
I'm looking at the xtlive floor board. Any idea if it's compatible with HD147?
BillBee
The XTL does midi out but its pretty basic (program changes mostly) I would look at an actual midi board - FCB, X-15 or the FBV series which I do believe the HD147 uses. There is always the FX loop that can be used for the XTL to go into. That head is good enough to stand on its own.
